The project brings together eight European organisations to strengthen youth participation in democratic life and support young people in becoming active members of their communities.
The initiative responds to several pressing challenges affecting young people across Europe, including low levels of political participation, increasing social polarisation, skills gaps and youth unemployment, as well as barriers to accessing resources despite the widespread availability of digital tools
- developing innovative forms of cooperation and networking between youth organisations
- implementing hybrid capacity-building activities, both online and offline

- empowering young people, youth leaders, youth workers and volunteers
- promoting community building through youth exchanges and thematic festivals.
The project will unfold through several key phases and activities, including:
a kick-off meeting in February 2026
the development of engagement strategies both online and offline training programmes for community activators
international youth exchanges and festivals focused on civic participation
policy advocacy activities and the development of position papers.
Expected impact
Youth Impact aims to generate significant social and civic impact across participating communities. The project expects to achieve:
168 young people engaged and empowered
32 youth workers and youth leaders trained
8 thematic webinars organised
2,800 citizens involved through youth exchanges and festivals
8 position papers presenting policy recommendations based on youth experiences and perspectives

Reflection
"We had the first project meeting, during which we aligned objectives and methodologies among partners, reinforcing the commitment to youth participation, co-creation, and strengthening local communities. Over the next 24 months, the project focuses on non-formal education, youth and youth workers training, and community-based actions. Also international training, youth exchanges, local youth-led festivals, and capacity-building activities in civic participation, community building are planned, culminating in a final position paper".
